Fed: Impulse confident it will win with Hazelton

CANBERRA, Jan 17 AAP - Impulse Airlines was today confident their bid to merge with
Hazelton Airlines would be approved by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

The ACCC, which is currently considering rival takeover bids by Ansett and Qantas,
warned earlier this month that neither Qantas nor Ansett's bid may be approved for the
Orange-based regional airline because of concerns about market dominance and regional
passengers.

But Impulse manager Gerry McGowan was today confident their bid would be successful.
